Friends often ask me: “How do you make these pictures? How can
you be so close to this wild and shy animals and what do you feel
when you dive with them?”
This summer Naomi and I had an unbelievable experience two
kilometers out of the small Bahamian island Bimini. We were out
with our kayak to search for a group of bottle nose dolphins, which
we had seen the last view days. As we found them they were
playing and socializing together. Immediately they showed huge
interest in our boat. After a while of observing I took my fins and
my camera and I went carefully to the water. Immediately I was
surrounded by up to 16 curious dolphins. Normally bottle noses are
very shy and it’s quite difficult to swim with them. But today
everything was totally different!!! With the following pictures we
would like to share this unbelievable experience with you. Maybe
after you saw these pictures you will understand our feelings and
our passion.
Although Naomi and I had wonderful dolphin connections in the
past: This magic day remains unforgotten....

A Magic Day with the Dolphins

Dolphins diving here and there,
Over the waves without a care.
Lazily gliding through the sea,
Perfect animals so gentle and free.
Happily they talk and play,
In the water they frolic all day.
Naturally beautiful and smart,
Surely a wonderful work of art.
